But, last some days Rahane trouble, he played 12 test matches in this year and scored 411 runs with the average of 20. Selecters select him due to his experience and past  knocks. If Ajinkya Rahane can't manage to give a brilliant innings for his team then his career hanging over and his test career in denger.

Cheteshwar Pujara : After Rahul Dravid Cheteshwar Pujara is the new wall for team India's test team.But since 2019 he can't manage to scored a test century. He played last test series against Australia in Australia's soil, in that year he played 13 test matches and scores 686 runs, his average is fallen off from 44 to 30.
If Cheteshwar Pujara didn't come back in this test series against South Africa tour then his career is in denger.

Ishant Sharma : Ishant Sharma has played 105 test and picked 311 wickets at an average of 32.4. Once upon a time Ishant Sharma is one of the strongest part of the Indian test cricket team. The veration of his bowling is very tough to play, but in current days he can't picked wickets properly. He went wicketless of the first two match test series against New Zealand.

In the other side team India's new fast bowler Mohammad Siraj getting wickets quickly.
